DESCRIPTION:We are excited to share with you that this academic year\, we have introduce a new mathematics curriculum across our school – the My Mastery Mathematics Curriculum. \nTo introduce this curriculum to parents and carers and share important learning strategies for Autumn Term\, we will be holding Parent and Carer ‘How to..’ Mathematics sessions\, led by our maths leads Mr Allinson and Miss Hughes. \nParents and carers are invited to attend\, with their child\, on the following dates to learn about the techniques we use in the classroom and different ways you can help your child with mathematics at home: \nReception – Monday 17/11/25 \nYear 1 – Wednesday 19/11/25 \nYear 2 – Thursday 20/11/25 \nYear 3 – Monday 24/11/25 \nYear 4 – Wednesday 26/11/25 \nYear 5 & Year 6 -Thursday 27/11/25 \nWe hope you will be able to join us!

SUMMARY:Help Your Child Thrive Parent and Carer Programme
DESCRIPTION:The ‘Help Your Child Thrive’ programme is coming to Barlows Primary School from Monday 3rd November to help you to support your child with their learning and development at home. This course runs every Monday morning in school for 5 sessions just after you drop your child off at the start of the school day. \nThe course gives you an insight into what your child will be learning in Reception and KS1. Each week you’ll receive lots of practical tips and ideas as to how to help your child develop skills in communication and language\, personal\, social and emotional wellbeing\, physical development\, literacy and maths. You will be given a booklet full of resources and ideas for fun games to play with your child at home which will help them to thrive in school. The course is also a good chance to meet other parents and get to know a bit more about school. \nSessions will run from 9:30am – 11:30am on the following dates: \nMonday 03/11/25 \nMonday 10/11/25 \nMonday 17/11/25 \nMonday 24/11/25 \nMonday 02/12/25 \nPlaces are limited so please keep an eye out on Arbor for sign up details.
