SUMMARY:Year 1 Royal Ballet & Opera Schools Discover Ballet Online Workshop
DESCRIPTION:Our Year 1 pupils will be taking part in a special live online session introducing them to the world of ballet. \nDuring the session\, the children will join other children from across the country to watch live performances form famous ballets by dancer of the Royal Ballet! They will also go behind the scenes to visit the props and costume departments and learn how props\, scenery and lighting transform the stage. \nThis activity supports our cultural capital learning opportunities\, making ballet fun and accessible to children.

SUMMARY:Year 2 Intra School Boccia Competition
DESCRIPTION:Year 2 will have the opportunity to learn all about Boccia in our intra school tournament led by Mr Mattocks. \nBoccia is a Paralympic sport that involves control and accuracy as players propel coloured balls to get closest to a target ball (the jack). \nThe children will work in teams to compete against their peers in heats which will culminate in our first ever Barlows Boccia finals!
