DESCRIPTION:We are delighted to be supporting the NSPCC by taking part in Number Day on Friday 6 February 2026. \n“Everything the NSPCC does protects children today and prevents abuse tomorrow. The NSPCC need our support more than ever. By raising money\, we can help to fund their vital services such as Childline – the helpline that’s always there for children and young people whatever their problem or concern.Half a million children a year suffer abuse or neglect in the UK. That means 7 children in a classroom experience abuse before they turn 18.” \nNSPCC Number Day makes maths meaningful and is a great way to make numbers fun and bring about a positive\, ‘can-do’ attitude towards mathematics. \nOn Friday 06/02/26\, we are having a fun day of maths activities\, and we will be taking part in Dress up for Digits. \nPupils are asked to wear an item of clothing with a number on it (sports top\, football\, rugby\, netball\, hockey shirt or cap). Or get even more creative and become a human calculator\, dice or domino by dressing in a maths or numbers theme.

Boccia is a Paralympic sport that involves control and accuracy as players propel coloured balls to get closest to a target ball (the jack). The children will work in teams to compete against their peers in heats which will culminate in our first ever Barlows Boccia finals!

SUMMARY:CUSP ART Festival
DESCRIPTION:Between 26th-30th January 2026\, our pupils will be taking part in a week long Art festival as part of our CUSP curriculum. The festival will further enhance the knowledge and skills our pupils have developed in our Art and Design curriculum through further exploration of key artists and their impact of the world around us. Pupils will become ‘a little more expert’ in Art and Design as they revisit skills previously taught and apply them to new\, creative contexts. \nThe theme for this year’s event is “Art\, Technology and the World Around Us”. There will be a range of events on offer to support pupils in developing their knowledge and skills in Art & Design. Pupils will take part in ‘Meet the Artist’ workshops\, visit digital exhibitions and create their own digital art to share with other participants in the festival. \nDuring ‘Meet the Artist’ sessions\, pupils will explore the work of the following artists and understand how they use technology in their art: \nEd Clark – Photographer \nAnnie Culley-Tea – Artist \nDr Steve Bunce – Apple Specialist \nLucy Stuteley – Storyteller\, artist and illustrator
