DESCRIPTION:We are pleased to announce a series of educational visits for our Year 6 students to participate in Apple’s Learn to Code workshops. \nThese visits are scheduled to take place in groups of 15 students per visit as follows: \n• Thursday 01/10/26 (morning session) Y6 15 students \n• Tuesday 20/10/26 (morning session) Y6 15 students \n• Tuesday 03/11/26 (morning session) Y6 15 students \n• Tuesday 10/11/26 (morning session) Y6 15 students \nDuring this hands-on session\, children will be introduced to the fundamentals of coding through fun\, interactive challenges using Apple’s Swift Playground app. \nThe workshop is designed to develop computational thinking\, problem-solving\, creativity\, and resilience\, while giving pupils an insight into the world of computer programming. Guided by Apple team members\, children will have the opportunity to create code\, experiment with new ideas\, and build confidence in their digital skills. \nThis engaging experience supports the computing curriculum and aims to inspire the next generation of innovators\, creators\, and technology leaders. We are looking forward to a fun and educational day of learning outside the classroom.

DESCRIPTION:In September\, our Year 4 pupils will be visiting the Museum of Liverpool to further develop their understanding on their Geography topic – Rivers. \nIn the River Mersey: Gateway to the World workshop\, students will discover how Liverpool became one of the world’s great ports and how this shaped the city of today. Children will explore the trade goods wall to identify examples of imports and exports to and from Liverpool. DESCRIPTION:In September\, our Year 5 pupils will be visiting the Royal Court Theatre\, Liverpool\, where they will gain invaluable insights into the behind-the-scenes world of theatre production. The children will take part in the ‘Backstage Class’ workshop\, providing access to areas typically unseen by the public. \nDuring the visit\, students will have the unique opportunity to meet various professionals from the theatre industry\, including stagehands\, sound engineers\, and set designers\, who will share their expertise and experiences. Children will also get the chance to stand on stage at the famous theatre to envision the life of a performer followed by a live Q&A session with industry professionals. \nFurther details will follow via Arbor from the class teacher.
