SUMMARY:Help Your Child Thrive Parent and Carer Programme
DESCRIPTION:The ‘Help Your Child Thrive’ programme is coming to Barlows Primary School from Monday 3rd November to help you to support your child with their learning and development at home. This course runs every Monday morning in school for 5 sessions just after you drop your child off at the start of the school day. \nThe course gives you an insight into what your child will be learning in Reception and KS1. Each week you’ll receive lots of practical tips and ideas as to how to help your child develop skills in communication and language\, personal\, social and emotional wellbeing\, physical development\, literacy and maths. You will be given a booklet full of resources and ideas for fun games to play with your child at home which will help them to thrive in school. The course is also a good chance to meet other parents and get to know a bit more about school. \nSessions will run from 9:30am – 11:30am on the following dates: \nMonday 03/11/25 \nMonday 10/11/25 \nMonday 17/11/25 \nMonday 24/11/25 \nMonday 02/12/25 \nPlaces are limited so please keep an eye out on Arbor for sign up details.

The festival is a fantastic initiative aimed at inspiring students through film\, helping to enhance their creativity\, and fostering a love for storytelling. \nAs part of the festival\, our Year 3 classes will be attending screenings designed to engage their imaginations and will link to work back in school. The children will attend the screening of Missing Link. This visually stunning animation explores themes of displacement and loneliness whilst proving that sometimes family can be found in the most unlikely of places. \nYear 3  \nThursday 27/11/25 \nWe have some spaces for parents and carers to join us on the trip\, details will follow via Arbor.

SUMMARY:Help Your Child Thrive Parent and Carer Programme
DESCRIPTION:The ‘Help Your Child Thrive’ programme is coming to Barlows Primary School from Monday 3rd November to help you to support your child with their learning and development at home. This course runs every Monday morning in school for 5 sessions just after you drop your child off at the start of the school day. \nThe course gives you an insight into what your child will be learning in Reception and KS1. Each week you’ll receive lots of practical tips and ideas as to how to help your child develop skills in communication and language\, personal\, social and emotional wellbeing\, physical development\, literacy and maths. You will be given a booklet full of resources and ideas for fun games to play with your child at home which will help them to thrive in school. The course is also a good chance to meet other parents and get to know a bit more about school. \nSessions will run from 9:30am – 11:30am on the following dates: \nMonday 03/11/25 \nMonday 10/11/25 \nMonday 17/11/25 \nMonday 24/11/25 \nMonday 02/12/25 \nPlaces are limited so please keep an eye out on Arbor for sign up details.

The children will learn about how laws were created in the past compared to today and how our British History has led to the way laws and democracy take place in modern day Britain. \nThe children will participate in debating topics and understand what it means to have the right to vote.
