DESCRIPTION:During this engaging workshop delivered by National Museums Liverpool and the Mersey Gateway Environmental Trust\, our Year 4 pupils will explore local marine wildlife linked to the estuary\, through the museum Irish Sea\, rocky shores\, and Rockpool tanks\, using them as a starting point to learn about animals such as seals\, dolphins\, dogfish and salmon (after a remarkable return to the River Mersey!). \n  \nThey’ll discover vital conservation work and learn why these habitats are important for wildlife and the climate. DESCRIPTION:On Monday 26/01/26\, our pupils will be engaging with a live Musical Mondays session and performance from Maz O’Connor. After writing her first song aged just 4\, Maz O’Connor grew up singing old folk songs in her local Cumbrian venues. Known for the storytelling quality of her original songs\, this award-winning guitarist and singer songwriter brings you a calming and relaxed session. The session is organised by our local music hub\, Resonate and is an exciting opportunity for our pupils.

SUMMARY:Children’s University Online Masterclass - Chinese New Year Celebrations
DESCRIPTION:In February\, children will engage in an online session about the celebration of Chinese New Year. \nThe session will be delivered by the Confucius Institute at Edge Hill University. \nChildren will learn about the Story of Chinese Zodiac Signs and what it means to be in the Year of the Horse followed by a short exciting quiz to recall their knowledge and understanding.
