WOW!
We are so impressed with the fantastic buildings you have all been making at home. We have spotted castles, bungalows, caravans, cottages, detached houses and even some very famous buildings from Liverpool and around the world. Thank you so much for taking the time to talk with your child about this challenge and for helping them create their masterpieces!
On Thursday Year 1 hopped on a bus and went to visit the Museum of Liverpool as part of our topic on Buildings.
We had a fantastic time and saw lots of interesting artefacts. We especially enjoyed looking at a wonderful painting by artist Ben Johnson which shows the famous Liverpool skyline.
Mrs Boylan and Mrs Gopsill were very proud of all the children in Year 1 – they worked hard, climbed a lot of stairs and were extremely well behaved!

To celebrate the start of our brand new topic we went for walk round our local area to look at the different types of buildings in Tranmere. We spotted lots! Have a look as you are out and about- which types of buildings can you see?
