Year 5 enjoyed their Farm to Fork trip to Tesco in Heswall. We found out which countries different fruit and vegetables are grown in, how bread is made and different ways to preserve goods. We then got to sample some pickled foods with crackers. We had a fun and informative morning.
Lindsay from Tesco very kindly gave us a bag of ingredients and a recipe for a harvest soup. Some children from 5PL made the soup and the rest of the class had a taste of it. Who knew vegetables could be so scrumptious?ggg
