Living Things and Their Habitatsffff

To introduce our new Science topic ‘Living Things and Their Habitats’, a lady from Knowsley Safari Park came into our classroom with lots of different creatures including; a giant African land snail, a milk snake, cockroaches, a millipede and a bearded dragon.

We learned lots of different facts about each of the creatures and learned about their different habitats.

One interesting fact we learned, was how to tell if a snake is a milk snake, or if it is a poisonous snake.

We can tell by looking at the colours of the snake and using this poem:

Red next black a friend of Jack.
Red next to yellow a dangerous fellow.
