Wow! What a wonderful Wednesday we have had.
Year One have started their brand new topic with a super Seaside Day. There was no school uniform for us on Wednesday, instead we were dressed in shorts, dresses, hats, sandals and sunglasses-all ready for some brilliant beach activities. We started the day with a fabulous game of Funtime Phonics, where we used our tricky sounds to help write some seaside words. Then we listened to the gentle sound of the waves and made our very own Seaside Shakers. After lunch we all went on an exciting treasure hunt where we had to work in teams to find the beach treasures. To end this very special day Year 1 designed their own ice creams, made and enjoyed eating them- delicious! We had a wonderful day and can’t wait to find out what we are going to find out about the seaside over the next few weeks.
