What were the differences between the Stone Age and Iron age?

To introduce our new ‘Stone Age to Iron Age’ topic we created cave paintings. We found out that the paintings would usually be of animals and hunters. We made our own paint just like Stone Age people would have! We used charcoal and oil to make black paint and raspberries and oil to make red. We used sticks and twigs to create our paintings. We understood that the Stone Age people couldn’t write and therefore painted around their hand to let people know that it was their painting. Take a look at some of the pictures below:
