Year 5 and 6 Positive Footprints Career Conversation

January 15

As part of their personal development education, we are pleased to announce that Year 5 and 6 pupils will be attending an online career conversation on Thursday 15/01/26.

Pupils will meet Simon Biltcliffe, founder of Webmart and a pioneering entrepreneur known for building a purposeled business, championing creativity, values-driven leadership and doing business differently, and Emma Armitage, managing director at Excel Water and an innovative leader driving growth, problem-solving and sustainability in the utilities sector, showing how ideas, resilience and teamwork power successful businesses. Together, Simon and Emma will explore the skills and qualities behind entrepreneurship — from creativity and confidence to adaptability, collaboration and perseverance — helping pupils see how different strengths can lead to exciting futures.

The primary objective of this session is to expose our students to various career pathways and to help them understand the importance of setting goals and aspirations for their future.

The online session, which is being hosted by Positive Futures as part of our Positive Futures Careers Aspiration Programme, will engage students in discussions about the skills and attributes needed in today’s job market.

This initiative is designed to inspire and empower our students as they begin to consider their futures beyond primary education. We encourage you to discuss this opportunity with your child and to support them in reflecting on their own interests and potential careers.they may wish to explore.
