Year 5 IntoFilm Festival Cinema Trip – Ocean – FACT Cinema, Liverpool
November 26
We have been fortunate enough to secure some free cinema trips for for our pupils as part of the IntoFilm Festival. The festival is a fantastic initiative aimed at inspiring students through film, helping to enhance their creativity, and fostering a love for storytelling. As part of the festival, our Year 5 classes will be attending screenings designed to engage their imaginations and will link to work back in school.
“Legendary broadcaster Sir David Attenborough has spent over 70 years filming the natural world, leading him to a passionate belief that the ocean plays a critical role in sustaining life on Earth. This visually stunning and deeply moving documentary takes audiences on a journey through the planet’s most extraordinary marine environments, from vibrant coral reefs and expansive kelp forests to the mysterious open ocean. Attenborough reflects on the remarkable ocean discoveries made during his lifetime, while highlighting the pressing threats facing marine ecosystems today, including overfishing, pollution, and climate-driven coral bleaching. Yet, amidst these challenges, the film delivers a powerful message of hope. Through inspiring stories of conservation and restoration from around the world, Attenborough shows that with urgent action and global cooperation, the ocean’s health can be revived – leading our entire planet to thrive.”
