Following on from their ‘Build a Canal’ workshop in school, our Year 6 pupils will visit Stanley Dock to explore its historic architecture, engineering, and innovative design features.

During the visit, children will investigate how structures are designed and built, gaining inspiration from one of Liverpool’s most iconic waterfront locations. The experience will provide valuable realworld links to their DT studies, encouraging pupils to think creatively, solve problems, and consider how design meets both practical and aesthetic needs.

We are sure this fascinating visit will deepen their understanding and inspire their own design projects back in the classroom.
